The Improv Mindset: Learning to Love your Impulses (No Improv/Performance experience necessary) WHO IS THIS FOR Anyone ages 16+ Whether you want to be a professional actor or find an outlet to discover your creativity, this workshop is perfect for you. COST $20 per person! (Typically a $90 class!) WHAT IS THIS WORKSHOP? Begin your journey to realizing your true creative potential with an introduction to Improv like it's never been taught before. Led by Teague M. Parker as part of his Improv for Wellness work, we will dive into the the true core of Improv: the mindset. Improv has no right or wrongs, and through exercises and activities, we'll start to learn that everything we do (from the way we walk/write our names/stand still) is an act of self-expression that we deserve to be excited about! Through experiencing the core tenants of Improv, you'll open up your mindset to unlimited possibilities, regardless if you consider yourself a performer or not. Come prepared to play, laugh, and appreciate yourself a little more! Movement clothes recommended for some light physical activity. WHO IS TEAGUE M. PARKER? Teague M. Parker (He/Him/His) is an actor, playwright, improviser, producer, and teaching artist. A graduate from Western Washington University, he founded Come Up Productions which highlights up-and-coming artist, while bringing Free Theatre & Live Events to the Washington community. He's taught performance & Improv wellness workshops/classes/training to various groups, organizations, and people looking to develop a better love and awareness of themselves for the past 6 years, and has over 10 years of Improv experience.
